Owls

World, Meet Baby Hettie and Momma Hattie!

I made Baby Hettie for a paying customer who is giving her away to a friend who is having a baby shortly after Thanksgiving! I wish her friend the best and happy travels Baby Hettie!

Momma Hattie needs a nose-job (my fault entirely) but it doesn't mean that she can't be less loved! If no one buys her, she might be going on the craft table in a few weeks! Well, yes I have been offered to place items on a table at an upcoming craft fair in December! I'm so excited!

I'll post a picture of who else will be joining us on the table, in the meantime...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

This Little Piggy ...

Business is booming on my end! Someone asked me if I could make a piggy themed hat, and sure enough I can! This little piggy is staying home for just one more day, then he's heading out to his new home! The best part about him is that he is really warm on those really cold days that we have out here!
Enjoy your new home Piglet!

Monkeying Around

"Let's Monkey, Let's Monkey Around!"

My friend is having a baby and her theme for the little one is Monkeys! So to welcome the little one into the world, she asked me to make her a monkey hat that went along with the theme. I hope the little guy likes it! (And I hope that I made it big enough! The doctor says he's getting bigger by the day!)

Minions

"It's So FLUFFYYYY!!!!!"

Couldn't resist! A friend of mine sent me a picture of one pattern and from there I took off with the minions! I've made quite a few (you can't have just one minion!) and as you can see here they came out pretty awesome!
The best part is, Christmas is coming up and these are great stocking stuffers!

Bitty Crocheted Presents

Hi Everyone! Sorry that these are (a little) late in the posting. I have here a few pins and hair items that I absolutely enjoyed making and sharing (for a little profit, I'll admit). Many of these have already sold, but I'd be happy to share the ones that I have remaining! I did use the last photo in my Christmas presents (yes... that is how long these pictures have been hanging around.). Do enjoy, and let me know if you would either like the pattern, or find out how to obtain a few from me!

Sharpied Mugs

Left: Top Bar: "Unable to communicate. Try again later."  Second Bar: "More awake... may bite off heads." Third Bar: "You may speak now. Slowly. Right Cup: "Sometimes apart ... but never in heart. ♥"

Aren't these just adorable? I found a couple of different ideas for the mugs, and a couple of different ideas on how to make the mugs but this method seems to work the best. I did give one away for a Valentines gift, but then I found it smashed to smithereens a week later. Poor planning on her part storing it on the ground or on mine thinking that she actually cared? Don't worry, neither one of these was harmed, it was a larger, cheaper cup! ♥

So, the first thing you need to do is get yourself a lovely white (preferably porcelain) coffee mugs. I found these cuties at the dollar store (maybe that's why the first one broke,?  Maybe...). If it breaks, heck, it was only a dollar! Now, find yourself a sharpie. Mine was a little chubby, so if I was to do this again I for sure would use a smaller tipped sharpie marker. Just a tip☺

Now, this is the tricky part... write on it! But make sure that everything is spelled correctly or so help you... the person that you're giving it to will never let it down that you misspelled "coffee" or their name, or anything! LET IT DRY. I would say a few hours to a few ays. Just because I'm extra cautious.

Now, when you are all done place it in the oven at 350 degrees F. Yes! You have to bake it! Now, I've heard from a range of 10 minutes to half an hour. I would say leave a spot (maybe on the bottom) wither you just write a couple of scribbles. When the scribbles STOP SMEARING, you're done! If they keep smearing, you're so totally NOT DONE.

Have fun! These are cute, reusable, cheap, gifts. So if you break one (Like I have already!) don't feel bad! Just get another one and don't tell anyone! Have fun! ♠

Crocheted Ducks

Aren't they adorable? You can ask for the pattern, I changed it from the original. ☺

There once was a momma duck
Who felt down on her luck
Then she met a drake
Out on the lake
And Oh! His name was Muck!

After a few dates they decided to marry
And over the threshold he did carry
Our soon to be momma
Who oddly seem calma'
Than his mother in law Sherry!

Three little ducklings were soon in their eggs
Growing strong from their beaks to their legs
The parents contemplented names
That ranged from rappers to games
Until "No more weird names!" the newborn begs!

During the parents arguments over names
That ranged from rappers to weird games
The ducklings decided
Before they rioted
That they would pick out their own names!

Then the grey one quacked "I'm Rocky!"
Who pushed his brother up, quacked "He's Stocky!"
But before he could begin
His mother began a din
And yelled... "I don't care... his name is Hockey!"

Positive Thoughts!

Isn't this adorable? I actually got this idea off of another site where I get other marvelous ideas! Such as fashion ideas, food & drink ideas and the occasional game! You start this in the beginning of the year, right on the very first of January! When ever something positive happens to you, or when you hear something positive aimed your way, you write it down and toss it in the jar! Then on the last day of the year, December 31st, you open it up and read them all! When ever you're down just take a look at the jar and remember that it is full of POSITIVE things that have happened in your life so far this year! Keep Smiling! ☺

Headphone Scarf

Isn't this pretty neat? I found this pattern on another site and decided to try it myself. Of course, I had to try it on my own pair before I gave it to a friend so this is the improved version!

The first time I tried crocheting headphones I used a single color and it didn't come out as pretty as it should have. Then, my lovely friend offered me her multicolored yarn and would you look at that it is much prettier! When I was finished I twisted the yarn to give the appearnce of the pattern to make it snake around the headphones and was a very pretty look.

If you would like how I did it, I'll be happy to share...

Alright I will share! I used the headphones as a base and crocheted around the headphone. Easy as Pie!

Speaking of Pie... I would like to have some that is being served down stairs right now... *nom*

Reindeer Noses!

Happy Holidays everyone!

I thought I would spread the cheer today and share the lovely little gift that I received from my girlfriend today! She's so sweet and creative... She gave me Reindeer Noses!

How cute right?

What you need:

For ONE bag:
- 1 cup of chocolate chips
- 1 red gumball
- 1 plastic baggy
- 1 cleverly personalized note! ☺

How To:
1. Pour the chocolate chips into the baggy.
2. Drop in the red gumball.
3. Attach clever personalized note.
4. Deliver for the Holidays!

You can make this as a bowl for guests, or make a whole bunch of individualized ones for your staff, students or even kids as a surprise in their lunch boxes! Just don't forget to add in Rudolf's nose or it might look like Reindeer Poop instead! ♥

Bookmarks!

Now what the heck can we do with an envelope that has to do with reading? Well, I'll tell you.

Ever look for a fashionable bookmark and you don't want to use a shredded piece of paper that happened to be lying around? Well, use this!

From your recycle bin, cut a small rectangle from either the lower left or lower right and done! Make sure that the corner is fairly big enough, like mine found below!

Isn't he cute??? He's adorable. And he keeps my page in place!
He sits right on the corner of my book and makes sure that my page doesn't move!

This is quite handy too in workbooks, and in spelling books like I'm using one presently! On three more I wrote "Group 1", "Group 2" and "Group 3." I can see it when I'm looking down on the book and know exactly what I need. And compared to sticky notes, doesn't it look a bit neater than sticky notes? You can use them too as little reminders, such as "CHECK HERE!" or "GET LAUNDRY!"

I've made mice, wombats, bears and even turtles! What are you going to make?

Cup & Ball

Someone sent me this picture and I thought it was too cute not to share, so here you are!

Also, today is my birthday, so I thought I would share a little something special!

SO Imagine a day on the job with a few kids that are just a bit coo - coo BUT you can't let them out of the house. It's rainding, snowing, hailing, something is going on outside and you just can't let them leave.... and your boss will kill you too if they got a cold. Oh boy.

Here is a fun little game that you can create in about ten minutes and still have hours of fun!

You Need:
2-3 Paper Cups
1 Pair of strong Scissors
3 pieces of 1 foot long strings
Foil Paper

Directions:
1. Punch a hole in the bottom of the cup.
2. String the string through the hole and tie a knot
3. Take the other string and tie another knot. Around this knot wrap foil paper tightly and into the shape of a ball.
4. Toss the foiled ball into the air and by using the cup try to make a 'basket!'

See if you can beat your kids record... it's harder than it looks!

Marriage or Relationship?

Choose wisely!!!

If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him and never say it's not quite as good as his mother's

then adopt a dog.

If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour,
for as long and wherever you want ...

then adopt a dog.

If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't care about football, and can sit next to you as you watch romantic movies

...then adopt a dog.

If you want someone who is content to get on your bed just to warm your feet and whom you can push off if he snores

...then adopt a dog !

If you want someone who never criticizes what you do,doesn't care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word you say is really worth listening to, and loves you unconditionally, perpetually ...

...then adopt a dog.

BUT, on the other hand, if you want someone who will never come when you call, ignores you totally when you come home, leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, runs around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep, and acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his happiness ....

.
.
.
.

...then adopt a cat!
You thought I was gonna say...
marry a man, didn't you?

Send this to all the women you know to brighten their day.
Send this to all the men just to annoy them!

You...

....have a GREAT Day !!!

Let's Read!

Well Hello SkippyJon Jones!

So, I think I may have a few teachers in on this site, but I can't really tell sometimes. At the moment however, I can say that my teacher likes SkippyJon Jones! So for my going away present I found her a SkippyJon Jones book that she doesn't own yet!

This is the perfect gift because I know that she doesn't own the book yet and that I know she enjoys the series. So, when you pick out a book for a friend, make sure that that person likes that genre! Or, like me, make sure that the book you are getting for your friend is the next one in the series!

SkippyJon Jones is a curious cat that wishes that he was a chihuahua! He's got really big ears and an even bigger imaginiation that takes him from space, to the egyptian tombs and back again! After every adventure he returns home to his momma cat and his little kitten sisters, and are ready to go on another one!

SkippyJon Jones is definelty a character that should be in your classroom, big ears and all!
