Just Type....

Just Type...
and the world will begin to make sense.
When you just write down thoughts,
                                                          anything can happen.
A good writer knows when a great story is coming,
she will just sit and write out her heart.
The only problem a writer may have is the utensils she has to write out her story.
Me,
      I have my own laptop,
and I have my own two hands.
If I use my hands,
                              it takes a while,
but when I use my laptop,
I can use my mind and sometimes I can write faster.
Sometimes,
it depends on the computer and if I'm picky about how I'mtyping.
Usually I backspace and fix spelling,
                                                            If I see them,
eitherwise I jsut let the computer do its thing.
Right now,
I'll do a brainstorm of ideas for a new story.
Brianna said she would like to be an illistrator for my stories,
when I become an author then I'll let her.
She already did my story where the girl lost her

                                                                              train of thought....

Yik Yiks

There are little 'yik yiks' running in my home,
Up and down and all around.
They're here, they're there, they're everywhere!

When I turn my head *poof*, they're gone!
Leaving only traces of shadows in my eyes,
Stealing things, moving others all around.

There are little 'yik yiks' in my home,
They're sneaky little bastards,
But have made they're prescense known.

They are dark little people,
With big round ears, listening for every secret,
Dodging my quick eye, diving behind my head.

There are little 'yik yiks' in my home,
Sprinkling yuckiness in my eyes,
So in the morning while I'm wiping, they're giggling.

These little imps think it is quite funny,
Hiding my keys, socks and important documents,
In strange, unthinkable and unreachable places.

There are little 'yik yiks' in my home,
Rolling the windows and turning off the lights,
Tying my headphone lines and stealing all my spoons.

Some one please save me from these oddities,
I fear they're plan is to make me go mad!
Perhaps then they'll be able to run the house...

and continue doing as they please.

What if we could talk to Historical Characters?

No really, think about it. What if we could talk to dead people that have had an impact on our society today. What if we could ask them questions such as what was going through their head when they made history... did they believe that they were right? Or originally wrong?
Could they have died believing that they were wrong and in time they were proven right?

In science we discussed Galileo and how when he stated the Heliocentric theory he was deemed to be placed in Purgatory forever. So; Is Galileo still mad about being in Purgatory? Does he regret recanting his discovery of the Heliocentric theory? Or, since he's been proven right a hundred times over, does this mean that he's finally reached Heaven?

There are so many questions I'd like to ask so many historical figures.  Such as Elvis, I'd like to ask him if he knew what he was doing when he was building up to being famous.

I'd love to ask Juliette Lowe if she thought that Girl Scouts was a bright idea when in her period it wasn't right for girls to not learn about how a real lady is supposed to act.  Girls were like little mommies, they did what mommy did, watched her mother, and followed instructions. I don't know, but I would like to know.

What about Lincoln? Did he know what was going to happen and decide for fate to run it's course?

I don't know how we would talk to these people. Maybe an mystical board, maybe a mystical person, maybe thought those stones that mystics threw to as for the answer to yes/no questions.
Maybe there was people too who wanted to be a part of history but were not given the chance due to some event. Does this mean that they are also historical characters that need to be honored?

A student once mentioned that to ask someone about something (we were talking about who came up with the theories involving the universe) you had to be dead. What if we didn't have to be anymore? What if we could through a simple conversation for an angel on a break for the day.

Wouldn't you enjoy talking to someone who has passed away as well? Who would you talk to?

Plan in Action

Kailey watched the child, as she thought of him, below creating the makeshift plow. He had spunk, that poor kid, but he wasn't aware of how thick dragon flesh really was. She scanned the males brains before her, looking for a man who was clever with metal. She found him, and realized that he was related to the kid below her. Perfect. She whispered in to the mans ear, "Glass shards." Then she flounced off, certain that the pitiful humans could construct a decent killing machine. In snow, plain snow plows work, but against dragons... not so much. The death plow would have to be placed on the front of the train, but with Kailey's speed and the skill of the two men, it would be ready in less than five minutes.

Jordan was successful in dropping the train from 15 cars down to four. The women and children were in the first two, the men were in the next two. She was waiting for the signal from Kailey and Colin to drop the last seven complete carts. This was a trick she learned from her father, the shorter the train the faster its speed. She knew that Kailey had them covered in the far front and due to her speed was able to dive between the carriages and pull out the pin quicker than if the dragon had tried to catch them. She was the back up, in case if Jordan could not do her task due to being stuck, or worse.

Colin remained in the front two carts, trying to keep a small child from crying. If she cried out during the attack on the dragon, all hope may be lost. Then again, if she cried out, out the window she went! Colin smirked, he would never do that, maybe to a baby dragon, but not to a human child. The children were waking up, they had slept through the night and their internal clocks were telling them to wake up!

The engine was warmed up and belching smoke, but couldn't move since the brake was on. Jackie continued to shovel coal into the stove, keeping an ear out for the dragon and for the tell tale thunk of the snow plow being put into place.  Kailey didn't really know how to use the walkie talkie, but one of the men down in the last car helped her out.

The beast peeked into the tunnel to look for the snake. By now the babies were leaving and swarming around the mouth of the... the snake had changed. The head was different. What happened to the snake? The dragon had never seen a snake change his face before, it was a little scary for a moment. And now, the babies are going back inside, but they're quiet. What is going on? The dragon decided that it wasn't going to wait for any answers and charge in on the snake. It had been waiting all night for a new meal and hell was to pay if it had to wait any longer.  He slithered down the hill and positioned himself into the tunnel just as the snake was beginning to move.  It was pretty far down the tunnel still, he could see its single eye glowing ("These snakes were still pretty strange, only one eye? No wonder they were easily caught.") And the grey smoke curling around and around the tunnel. The snake began to move forward, slowly.

"Maybe it knows that I'm going to eat it, and has decided to give up the fight." The dragon thought, "A suicidal dinner. Perfect." Happily he laid down on the track and opened his huge maw, waiting for his dinner.

Bookmarks!

Now what the heck can we do with an envelope that has to do with reading? Well, I'll tell you.

Ever look for a fashionable bookmark and you don't want to use a shredded piece of paper that happened to be lying around? Well, use this!

From your recycle bin, cut a small rectangle from either the lower left or lower right and done! Make sure that the corner is fairly big enough, like mine found below!

Isn't he cute??? He's adorable. And he keeps my page in place!
He sits right on the corner of my book and makes sure that my page doesn't move!

This is quite handy too in workbooks, and in spelling books like I'm using one presently! On three more I wrote "Group 1", "Group 2" and "Group 3." I can see it when I'm looking down on the book and know exactly what I need. And compared to sticky notes, doesn't it look a bit neater than sticky notes? You can use them too as little reminders, such as "CHECK HERE!" or "GET LAUNDRY!"

I've made mice, wombats, bears and even turtles! What are you going to make?

Behind You

Sunshine, Daisies, Butter mellow.
I wish I knew a fellow.

If I had, Just one wish,
I'd wish I'd get that kiss.

From you, Yes, That's true,
Then I'd say that I love you.

If you say, That again,
I'll say you're my Best Friend.

But that's not, Exactly true,
For he is right behind you.

Everybody Needs a TWEED

Admit it, I just got that new song from the Lorax stuck in your head. It's okay. It's catchy and awesome.
I came across this beauty in my favorite little store, Christinas! It didn't cost that much, and when I tried it on, it fit like a GLOVE. And it was perfect for Spring and Fall wear. I couldn't pass it up! I wore it a while ago at an Easter Birthday party, and I don't recall being cold at all! I was wearing a tank top underneath it the first time which made it an outfit for a slightly warmer day than what we've been having!
Today I wore a black short sleeve shirt under the Tweed jacket and I was quite toasty! I wore the new grey pants, and my black shoes with the silver buckle and was quite toasty all day long!
I was given a suggestion, if I could find a light pink skirt to match the light pink in the tweed and if I can find one... I'm buying it!
I wore white jewelry to match, and I still haven't decided if I like it that way or not, maybe you could help me?

Yours till leaves fall.... E.

How Old Is Grandma?

How Old is grandma?
Stay with this -- the answer is at the end. It will blow you away.

One evening a grandson was talking to his grandmother about current events.

The grandson asked his grandmother what she thought about the shootings at schools, the computer age, and just things in general.

The Grandmother replied, "Well, let me think a minute, I was born before:

'
polio shots
'
frozen foods
'
Xerox
'
contact lenses
'
Frisbees and
'
the pill

There were no:

'
credit cards
'
laser beams or
'
ball-point pens

Man had not yet invented:

'
pantyhose
'
air conditioners
'
dishwashers
'
clothes dryers
'
and the clothes were hung out to dry in the fresh air and
'
man hadn't yet walked on the moon

Your Grandfather and I got married first, and then lived together. Every family had a father and a mother.
Until I was 25, I called every man older than me, "Sir."

And after I turned 25, I still called policemen and every man with a title, "Sir."

We were before gay-rights, computer-dating, dual careers, daycare centers, and group therapy.

Our lives were governed by the Ten Commandments, good judgment, and common sense.

We were taught to know the difference between right and wrong and to stand up and take responsibility for our actions.

Serving your country was a privilege; living in this country was a bigger privilege.

We thought fast food was what people ate during Lent.

Having a meaningful relationship meant getting along with your cousins.

Draft dodgers were those who closed front doors as the evening breeze started.

Time-sharing meant time the family spent together in the evenings and weekends -not purchasing condominiums.
We never heard of FM radios, tape decks, CD's, electric typewriters, yogurt, or guys wearing earrings.
If you saw anything with 'Made in Japan ' on it, it was junk.

The term 'making out' referred to how you did on your school exam.

Pizza Hut, McDonald's, and instant coffee were unheard of.

We had 5 &10-cent stores where you could actually buy things for 5 and 10 cents.

Ice-cream cones, phone calls, rides on a streetcar, and a Pepsi were all a nickel.

And if you didn't want to splurge, you could spend your nickel on enough stamps to mail 1 letter and 2 postcards.

Gas was 11 cents a gallon.

In my day:

' "grass" was mowed,
' "coke" was a cold drink,
' "pot" was something your mother cooked in and
' "rock music" was your grandmother's lullaby.
' "Aids" were helpers in the Principal's office,
' "chip" meant a piece of wood,
' "hardware" was found in a hardware store and.
' "software" wasn't even a word.
And we were the last generation to actually believe that a lady needed a husband to have a baby.
No wonder people call us "old and confused" and say there is a generation gap.

How old do you think I am?

I bet you have this old lady in mind. You are in for a shock!

Read on to see -- pretty scary if you think about it and pretty sad at the same time.

Are you ready?????
This woman would be only 60 years old, Born in 1952.

GIVES YOU SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.
PASS THIS ON TO THE OLD ONES.

THE YOUNG ONES WOULDN'T BELIEVE IT.

Will Rogers

"Don't let yesterday use up too much of today."

What a beautiful quote.  Absolutely beautiful.

Before I continue, I just wanted to address the simplicity of todays date.
October 11th, 2012.
10/11/2012.
10.11.12
Ten. Eleven. Twelve.
I've been watching the date since I was in sixth grade:

January 2nd, 2003             -- 1.2.03           7th Grade
February 3rd, 2004            -- 2.3.04           8th Grade
March 4th, 2005                -- 3.4.05           9th Grade
April 5th, 2006                  -- 4.5.06           10th Grade
May 6th, 2007                   -- 5.6.07           11th Grade
June 7th, 2008                   -- 6.7.08           12th Grade
July 8th, 2009                    -- 7.8.09           Freshman Year
August 9th, 2010               -- 8.9.10           SophomoreYear
September 10th, 2011       -- 9.10.11          Junior Year
October 11th, 2012        -- 10.11.12         Senior Year

Truly, this is an interesting phenomenon that will not happen again for years to come. Enjoy the day while you can! - E

And as peole would say it... On with the show!

Don't let yesterday use up too much of today.
Can you imagine geting into a fight with your best friend? And that fight continues into the next day? That's a whole day that you can't get back. That's a whole day that you're going to miss.

Or imagine your test that you're supposed to be studying for. The more you laze around and not study for it, the longer you have a hatred for studying and the longer that you spend griping about it. If you stop griping about it now and get it over with, then you have more time tomorrow to do something else. You're letting yesterday infringe on today, and that's because you procrastinated.
Many of us are worriers. We let our worries carry from day to day when we really should not allow ourselves to let something overtake tomorrow that should only be dealt with today.

Take action.     Be Proactive.     Don't let yesterday use up too much of today.

Brighter World

From a dark lonely world
I finally step into the light
But into the light
There is someone else there.
He turns around
And then I realize,
This is my key to a brighter world.
He comes closer to me,
And takes my hands,
And looks deeply into my eyes.
He then tells me
That, there is a better world out there,
If I gave it a chance,
Maybe I will never be alone again.
If I went on with him,
I would never ever be alone again.
When I look at the possibilities,
I realize that there is no other way,
So I explore the world,
One baby step at a time.
He comes closer to me,
And takes my hands,
And looks deeply into my eyes.
He then tells me
That, there is a better world out there,
If I gave it a chance,
Maybe I will never be alone again.
If I went on with him,
I would never ever be alone again.
I try to make myself,
Try every new possibility,
But when they are all used up,
When then do I do?
He comes closer to me,
And takes my hands,
And looks deeply into my eyes.
He then tells me
That, there is a better world out there,
If I gave it a chance,
Maybe I will never be alone again.
If I went on with him,
I would never ever be alone again.
I finally made a choice,
To go back
To go back
To go back to my old life - - -
He comes closer to me,
And takes my hands,
And looks deeply into my eyes.
He then tells me
That, there is a better world out there,
If I gave it a chance,
Maybe I will never be alone again.
If I went on with him,
I would never ever be alone again.
He comes closer to me,
And takes my hands,
And looks deeply into my eyes.

If I went on with him,
I would never ever be alone again.

K.I.M.

KIM = KEEP IN MIND

Keep In Mind that when Roller Blading Wear Pads!

☺ Get the picture? ☺

Another little fashion statement for you ladies, and men if your lady is ever in trouble, hairspray may be something you might want to keep in your purse or car!

Hairspray and its uses:

- Keep down static
- Stains out of clothing (especially for pen)

I know you're thinking... WHAT?

If you're in a pinch, and your skirt is sticking to your pantyhose or tights, then using hairspray will keep it down, even if its just for a little while. Such as, when getting in and out of a car, walking to your place at the restaurant, or simply walking to class. It'll keep everything from sticking for a little while, but asap, I recommend buying destickifyer, which can be found in the laundry aisle!

And hairspray is good for something else... stain remover! Just spray a little on your stain and rub away! I had a red stain and it's gone! Give everything a good wash too, just to be sure and your clothes should be back to almost new!

Anything else? Let me know! Thanks! ☺
