Misunderstood yet Worldly....

Theres a time when you begin to appreciate having friends.
You appreciate having them there so you can laugh over bad times,
to have someone there when you need to cry over good times.
You can sit there amoung friends in a group,
Laughing so hard that you begin to cry
Or cry so hard that you begin to laugh.
Games movies food general chores
The list goes on and on
There are so many times that you can start a memory,
Burying it deep into your mind,
maybe so deep you remember it so long
Its the only memory you have when you have dementia.

LisaMi keeps the fun going telling me stories offering a laugh,
V forces the silence to vanish away with a odd comment or two
Cbanana helps make everything dirty
And I wander around protecting my innocent mind, with out success.
Later on we cheerfully meet
Downstairs for the JAC party
Laughing along at the games we play
More and more girls showing up as we go
The games getting silliar as the night goes on.
We find a way to stay up longer
Then we find a way to stay up all night
Then we regert it in the morning!

"You're the One I Want"

G: Tell me about it stud!
B: I got chills.
They're multiplyin'.
And I'm losin' control.
'Cause the power
you're supplyin',
it's electrifyin'!

G: You better shape up,
'cause I need a man
and my heart is set on you.
You better shape up;
you better understand
to my heart I must be true.

B: Nothin' left, nothin' left for me to do.

Both: You're the one that I want.
(you are the one i want), o,o, oo, honey.
The one that I want.
(you are the one i want want), o,o,oo, honey.
The one that I want
(you are the one i want want), o,o, ooooo
The one I need.
Oh, yes indeed.

G: If you're filled
with affection
you're too shy to convey,
meditate in my direction.
Feel your way.

B: I better shape up,
'cause you need a man

G: i need a man
who can keep me satisfied.

B: I better shape up
if I'm gonna prove

G: you better prove
that my faith is justified.

B:Are you sure?

Both:Yes, I'm sure down deep inside.
You're the one that I want.
(you are the one i want want), o, o, oo, honey.
The one that I want.
(you are the one i want want), o,o,oo, honey.
The one that I want
(you are the one i want),o, o, oo
The one I need.
Oh, yes indeed

Broadcasted Today....

Good Morning Nodnol! Todays weather will be sunny and clear with a high around 78 degrees. Tomorrow will be just as nice with a chance of showers later on during the night. Now on to you Rachel.

Thanks George. Yesterday evening as some of you may know a group of protesters stationed themselves in front of the forest yesterday saying "Protect The Forest." Their leader, well known rabble rouser Justin Hawkes voiced his opinion on the cutting down of the trees and instructed the local teens to stay the night. This morning where they were staying was deserted. Sleeping bags, cell phones and some food was found but there was no evidence of a fight. Police say the teens may have walked away from the campsite for a reason, foot prints were found leading away from the camp into the forest. If anyone has any information about the missing teens please call the local police or this station. Email us at the email located at the bottom of the screen. Thank you.

Now on to you Fred... How is the high school doing in sports?

Drift Away - Uncle Kracker

Day after day I'm more confused

Yet I look for the light

Through the pourin' rain

You know that's a game that I hate to lose

And I'm feeling the strain

Ain't it a shame

Oh, give me the beat, boys, and free my soul

I want to get lost in your rock and roll

And drift away

[repeat]

Beginning to think that I'm wasting time

I don't understand the things I do

The world outside looks so unkind

Now I'm counting on you

To carry me through

Oh, give me the beat, boys, and free my soul

I want to get lost in your rock and roll

And drift away

[repeat]

And when my mind is free

You know a melody can move me

And when I'm feeling blue

The guitar's coming through to soothe me

Thanks for the joy that you're given me

I want you to know I believe in your song

Your rythm and rhyme and harmony

You've helped me along

Makin' me strong

Oh, give me the beat, boys, and free my soul

I want to get lost in your rock and roll

And drift away

[repeat]

Na, na, now won't ya

Won't ya take, oh ha ..take me

Eye Of The Tiger

Risin' up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive

So many times, it happens too fast
You change your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

Chorus:
It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger

Face to face, out in the heat
Hangin' tough, stayin' hungry
They stack the odds 'til we take to the street
For we kill with the skill to survive

Chorus

Risin' up, straight to the top
Have the guts, got the glory
Went the distance, now I'm not gonna stop
Just a man and his will to survive

Chorus

The eye of the tiger (repeats out)...

To My Best Friend

Life is where you make choices and follow that road

Following a way, not questioning the code

But that is where I made a mistake

In my life I had to put on the brake

There was echo saying that there was something wrong

And not long after that you came along

You showed me how after all

A person's a person no matter how small.

Without you anyone would know where'd I be

Probably still stuck up in a very tall tree.

A best friend is what eveyone needs

Someone to commit good and bad deeds

I need you like I need skittles and coffee

Even when I have a sunburn in the 3rd degree

You caught me in time before I fell in

To becoming a person with very thick skin

But you bestie... definetly helped me fit in!

Dear G

"Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray for a man who's not a creep.
One who's handsome, smart and strong.
He's not afraid to admit when he's wrong,
One who thinks before he speaks,
When he promises to call, he doesn't wait 6 weeks.
I pray that he is gainfully employed,
Won't lose his cool when he's annoyed.
Pulls out my chair and opens my door.
Massages my back and begs to do more.

Oh! Send me a man who will make love to my mind.
Knows what to say when I ask, "How big is my behind?"
One who'll make love 'til my body's a' itchin.'
He brings me a sandwich, when he goes to the kitchen.
I pray that this man will love me to no end,
And would never compare me with my best friend.
Thank You in advance and now I'll just wait,
For I know You will send him before it's too late.

Amen"

Quote Box #2

You should always write the name of the person you love, in a circle, not a heart. Because hearts can break, and circles last forever."

But theres nothing wrong with me, this is how I'm supposed to be. In a land of make believe, you don't believe in me.

Ive never seen a smile that can light the room like yours, its simply radiant I feel more with everyday that goes by

if it's love and we're two birds of a feather, then the rest is just whatever

a memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, and the things you never want to loose

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also-Luke 12:34

WILL YOU WEAR BLUE???

International Picture of the Year
 Here are two very touching photos honored this year
 First Place :

Todd Heisler The Rocky Mountain News
When 2nd Lt. James Cathey's body arrived at the Reno Airport , Marines climbed into the cargo hold of the plane and draped the flag over his casket as passengers watched the family gather on the tarmac.

During the arrival of another Marine's casket last year at  Denver International Airport , Major Steve Beck described the scene as so powerful: 'See the people in the windows? They sat  right there in the plane, watching those Marines. You gotta wonder what's going through their minds, knowing that they're on the plane that brought him home,' he said 'They will remember being on that plane for the rest of their lives. They're going to remember bringing that Marine home. And they should.'

Second Place
Todd Heisler The Rocky Mountain News
The night before the burial of her husband's body, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of 'Cat,' and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. 'I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it,' she said. 'I think that's what he would have wanted'

Blue Fridays.

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing blue every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the 'silent majority' We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing. Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening women afar, will wear something blue. By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of blue much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If everyone of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before the USA is covered in BLUE and it will let our troops know the once 'silent' majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on. The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can we do to make things better for you?' is .'We need your support and your prayers.' Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear something blue every Friday.

The Banana test

THE BANANA TEST
There is a very, very tall coconut tree and there are 4 animals, a Lion, a Chimpanzee, a Giraffe , and a Squirrel, They decide to compete to see who is the fastest to get a banana off the tree.

Who do you guess will win?

Your answer will reflect your personality.
So think carefully . . . Try and answer within 30 seconds.
Got your answer?
Now scroll down to see the analysis.

If your answer is:

Giraffe = you're unrealistic.
Lion = you're not honest.
Chimpanzee = you're a complete moron.
Squirrel = you're hopeless.

A COCONUT TREE DOESN'T HAVE BANANAS.

Obviously you're stressed and overworked. You should take some time off and relax!
Perhaps have a bit of chocolate?

The Plan

I can't do this, even if Chuck can get home in time. I can't go in there! I can hear the voices pulling at my conscious already, and I'm only a block away. I can't go in there to find the weak spot, it'll get me too. It can control me, it will get me I just know it! It knows I'm coming...
I can hear Courtney, and, is that Chealsea? Oh no it has Chealsea! She' like my little sister, I used to watch her after camp and school. Oh God, it has Chealsea! Who's next my mother?
I can't go in there Chuck, I need you to get home. I need you to help fight it. Where are you?
Courtney, can you hear me? If I can hear you, could you hear me? Where's Rachel? We're coming for you! Help is coming!

I have my matches, my cellphone and my hatchet. If Chuck doesn't get here before I go in there with my fight, then I hope he can save me too.

lie cheat & steal

Just because I've said I've never lied,
Eventually I do,
Sometimes they're little white lies,
Sometimes they're the truth.
Every once in a while, like the one I told you... was the truth.
Cheating is dangerous, and can land you in
Hell. I did it once, but to you I did not
Regret it.
I'm not sorry, because I never did love you. I'm not
Sorry for what I did. You should sorry for what you did, not me.
Every once in a while there is something that you
Really want, something anyone would steal to have. You were one of those things
I really wanted. You
Convinced me that you loved me, but in truth, I don't love you at all.

Dont Be Average! :]

DON'T LAUGH UNTIL YOU FIND OUT WHAT YOUR NEW NAME IS

We all need a little stress-reliever! This only takes a minute.
Please don't be a party pooper bore & ruin it. Comment what your new name is! =D

Sometimes when you have a stressful day or week, you need some silliness to break up the day. If we are honest, we have a lot more stressful days than not.

Here is your dose of humor...

A. Follow the instructions to find your newname.
B. Once you have your new name, post it in the comment box found below!

And don't go all adult - a senior manager is now known far & wide as Dorky Gizzardsniffer!

The following is excerpted from a children's book, Captain Underpants And the Perilous Plot Professor Poopypants, by Dave Pilkey, in which the evil Professor forces everyone to assume new names...

So...........................................

1. Use the third letter of your first name to determine your New first name: = ;
a = snickle
b = doombah
c 3D goober
d = cheesey
e = crusty
f = greasy
g = dumbo
h = farcus
i = dorky
j = doofus
k = funky
l = boobie
m = sleezy
n = sloopy
o = fluffy
p = stinky
q = slimy
r = dorfus
s = snooty
t = tootsie
u = dipsy
v = sneezy
w = liver
x = skippy
y = dinky
z = zippy

2. Use the second letter of your last name to determine the first half of your new last name:

a = dippin
b = feather
c = batty
d20= burger
e = chicken
f = barffy
g = lizard
h = waffle
i = farkle
j = monkey
k = flippin
l = fricken
m = bubble
n = rhino
o = potty
p = hamster
q = buckle
r = gizzard
s = lickin
t = snickle
u = chuckle
v = pickle
w = hubble
x = dingle
y = gorilla
z = girdle

3. Use the third letter of your last name to determine the second half of your new last name:

a = butt
b = boob
c = face
d = nose
e = hump
f = breath
g = pants
h = shorts
i = lips
j = honker
k = head
l = tush
m = chunks
n = dunkin
o = brains
p = biscuits
q = toes
r = doodle
s = fanny
t = sniffer
u = s prinkles
v = frack
w = squirt
x = humperdinck
y = hiney
z = juice

Thus, for example, George W. Bush's new name is: Fluffy Chucklefanny.=2 0
And remember that children laugh an average of 146 times a day; adults laugh an average of 4 times a day .

Don't be average, laugh 10x a day and bring yourself back to being child =D

A wee bit o' Irish luck

His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog.
There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death. The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved.
'I want to repay you,' said the nobleman. 'You saved my son's life.'
'No, I can't accept payment for what I did,' the Scottish farmer replied waving off the offer.. At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel.
'Is that your son?' the nobleman asked.
'Yes,' the farmer replied proudly.
'I'll make you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of education my own son will enjoy. If the lad is anything like his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be proud of.' And that he did.
Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best schools and in time, graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.
Years afterwards, the same nobleman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken with pneumonia.
What saved his life this time? Penicillin.
The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill .. his son's name?
Sir Winston Churchill.

Someone once said:
What goes around comes around.
Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth.

AN IRISH FRIENDSHIP WISH:

I hope it works...
May there always be work for your hands to do;
May your purse always hold a coin or two;
May the sun always shine on your window pane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you and may you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you're dead.

The #11

THE SECRETS BEHIND NUMBER 11

Read to the bottom. Try it out. I did. I got goose bump

IF YOU'RE A CRITICAL PERSON STILL READ ON AS IT'S ACTUALLY VERY INTERESTING! !

This is actually really freaky!! (mainly the end part, but read it all first)
1) New York City has 11 letters
2) Afghanistan has 11 letters.
3) Ramsin Yuseb (The terrorist who threatened to destroy the Twin Towers in 1993) has 11 letters.
4) George W Bush has 11 letters.
This could be a mere coincidence, but this gets more interesting:
1) New York is the 11th state.
2) The first plane crashing against the Twin Towers was flight number 11.
3) Flight 11 was carrying 92 passengers. 9 + 2 = 11
4) Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers , was carrying 65 passengers. 6+5 = 11
5) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11 as it is now known. 9 + 1+ 1 = 11
6) The date is equal to the US emergency services telephone number 911. 9 + 1 + 1 = 11

Sheer coincidence. ..?! Read on and make up your own mind:

1) The total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes was 254. 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

2) September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year. Again 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.
3) The Madrid bombing took place on 3/11/20 04. 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11.
4) The tragedy of Madrid happened 911 days after the Twin Towers incident.
Now this is where things get totally eerie:
The most recognized symbol for the US , after the Stars & Stripes, is the Eagle. The following verse is taken from the Quran, the Islamic holy book:
'For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was peace.'

That verse is number 9.11 of the Quran.

Unconvinced about all of this Still ..?! Try this and see how you feel afterwards, it made my hair stand on end:
Open Microsoft Word and do the following: Q33 NY
1. Type in capitals Q33 NY. This is the flight number of the first plane to hit one of the Twin Towers . *
2. Highlight the Q33 NY.
3. Change the font size to 48.
4. Change the actual font to the WINGDINGS

What do you think now?!!

Quote

Quotation:

'May today there be peace within.... May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.'

On the way to Canton , driving on Michigan Avenue , on Thursday morning, I saw an infant car seat on the side of the road with a blanket draped over it. I did not stop, even though I had all kinds of thoughts running through my head. But when I got to my destination, I called the Canton PD and they were going to check it out. This is what I was told...
"Several things to be aware of .. gangs and thieves, are now plotting different ways to get a person to "stop" their vehicle.
"There is a gang initiation reported by the local police department that gangs are placing a car seat by the road...with a fake baby in it...waiting for a woman, of course, to stop and check on the baby. Note that the location of this car seat will usually be beside a wooded or grassy (field) area ...and the person - woman - will be dragged into the woods- beaten and raped- usually left for dead. DO NOT STOP . DIAL 9-1-1 AND REPORT WHAT YOU SAW.

"IF YOU ARE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND EGGS ARE THROWN AT YOUR WINDSHIELD. DO NOT OPERATE THE WIPER AND DO NOT SPRAY ANY WATER BECAUSE EGGS MIXED WITH WATER BECOME MILKY AND BLOCK YOUR VISION UP TO 92.5% YOU ARE THEN FORCED TO STOP BESIDE THE ROAD AND BECOME A VICTIM OF THIEVES. THIS IS A NEW TECHNIQUE USED BY GANGS. PLEASE INFORM YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES. THESE ARE DESPERATE TIMES AND THESE UNSAVORY INDIVIDUALS WILL TAKE DESPERATE MEASURES TO GET WHAT THEY WANT."

WARNING  # 3
Some  knew about the red light on cars, but not the 112.

It was about 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon, and Lauren  was driving to visit a friend. An UNMARKED  police car pulled up behind herand put his  lights on. Lauren's parents have always told her  never to pull over for an unmarked car on the  side of the road,but rather to wait  until they get to a gas station,  etc.

Lauren  had actually listened to her parents advice, and  promptly called
112 on her  cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that  she would not pull over right away. She  proceeded to tell the  dispatcher that there was an unmarked police car  with a flashing red light on his rooftop behind  her. The dispatcher checked to see if there were  police cars where she was and  there  weren't, and he told her to keep driving, remain  calm and that he had back up already on the way.

Ten minutes later 4 cop cars surrounded  her and the unmarked car behind her.. One  policeman went to her side and the others  surrounded the car behind. They pulled the guy  from the car and tackled him to the ground. The  man was a convicted rapist and wanted for other  crimes.

I  never knew about the 112 Cell  Phone feature,  but especially for a woman alone in a car, you  should not pull over for an unmarked car.  Apparently police have to respect your right to  keep going to a safe place.

*Speaking  to a service representative at Bell Mobility  confirmed  that  112 was  a direct link to State trooper info. So, now it's your turn to let your friends know about 112.

You  may want to  send  this to  every woman (and man) you know; it may save a  life.  This  applies to ALL 50 states
PLEASE  PASS ALONG TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY, IT CAN SAVE A  LIFE....

Please be safe !!!

    "My Son"

    This is great, take a moment to read it, it will make your day!

    The ending will surprise you.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    Take my Son.....

     A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art..

    When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

    About a month later, just before Christmas, There was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands..

    He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly... He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.'

    The father Opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears.
    He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture.. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift.'

    The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

    The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.

    On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?'

    There was silence...

    Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.'

    But the auctioneer persisted. 'Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?'

    Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandts. Get on with the Real bids!'

    But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?'

    Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting...' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.

    'We have $10, who will bid $20?'

    'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.'

    The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son. They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

    The auctioneer pounded the gavel.. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!'

    A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!'

    The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.'

    'What about the paintings?'

    'I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will.... I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the son gets everything!'

    God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: 'The son, the son, who'll take the son?' Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

    FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.....THAT'S LOVE

    My definition? The Best movie! I'm not scared at all, and it's actually making me giggle :] There is so much detail to the movie and I'm not sure if any of it at all is true or not but it certainly makes a great story line! I must say, I wish I had seen this years before, I could probably watch it over and over again! They take differnt concepts of things and they created this wonderful movie. So many different special effects and well put together plots, nothing can make this movie better. Oh wait, Hugh Jackson is in it. Now its perfect :]]

    To make all mothers smile :]

    ~A Cup of Tea ~

    One day my mother was out, and my dad was in charge of me.

    I was maybe 2 1/2 years old. Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a gift, and it was one of my favorite toys.

    Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I brought him a little cup of 'tea', which was just water. After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my mom came home.

    My dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!' Mom waited, and sure enough, here I came down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy; and she watched him drink it up.

    Then she said, (as only a mother would know), "'Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach to get water is the toilet?"

    SEND IT ON AND MAKE ANOTHER PARENT SMILE ... LIKE I  JUST DID.

    :] <3 [:

    owlz

    If you can't top that... then I bow down to you =D

    by the way have you seen the commercial where 'its so hot that rattlesnakes combust?' It is very odd. Although I must admit, It makes me hungry for Subway... damn you commercials.... What's your favorite?

    Oh and by the way, be jealous and very afraid: I have M&Ms and that portends trouble for everyone!!!

    3 tablespoons butter, softened

    1/4 cup white sugar

    1 egg

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    1/4 cup milk 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

    2 tablespoons cocoa powder

    1/4 teaspoon baking powder

    1 pinch salt

    Directions:

    1. Spray a medium microwave-safe bowl with non-stick spray and set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and milk; blend together. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt; blend into the mixture until smooth. Pour into greased bowl.

    2. Cover and cook in the microwave on high for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes, or until cake springs back when touched. Since all microwaves cook differently, adjust the cooking time to accommodate your machine. To serve, let the cake cool five minutes, then cover the bowl with a plate and turn both bowl and plate upside down so the cake falls onto the plate.

    Voices

    5 years ago:
    I don't know what happened, I was driving on the highway, when suddenly I drove into the forest, and the forest almost welcomed me. My truck was pulled under the roots and thats where its been sitting ever since. I can move in the cab, but theres nothing in here that can help me. My flashlight battery went out a few hours ago, but I needed new ones anyways. My grandkids kept telling me to 'get a cellular', maybe I actually should have, I never did get one, but in a situation like this it really would have helped. I'm not hungry, which is the odd part, I see my watch tick past the hours but thats all it really is doing. I hear, voices, sometimes, but they're only in my head. I've heard them before, when I was getting sugary done on my arm, all the hallucination stuff is coming again. I can live through them, its not that bad.

    4 years ago:
    The voices... are not real... but ... they seem real.... I can move .... sometimes.... it seems like... I get out .... of my truck..... and I float.... away..... into nothing..... its peaceful..... I'm happy.... Then it seems.... that I wake up.... and I can hear.... my grandkids.... telling me to ... hold on... but hold on.... to what? .... Claire is here.... she's here with me..... she tells me she's waiting.... for me... in heaven... but what is heaven? .... Claire died years ago.... before the grandkids..... where could she be?.... She says not to lose .... my mind.... but how can I.... lose my mind.... when it's already lost?

    3 years ago:
    There's only a picture now in my mind, of an aging woman. But I don't care. She's not here, so I don't care. There are little children too, but I don't care anymore about them.
    When I think of them, it gives me a feeling of hunger... where my belly used to be.
    Eventually though, I'm going to have to eat.

    2 years ago:
    We live together. We eat together. We are happy here. The days seem shorter. It's almost spring. We can feel the earth coming alive. We like it when spring is here. Spring means there is change. Spring means better chances of food.

    1 year ago:
    We are stronger now. We can move more. We spread more. We move ourselves to where they are. We will win this fight. We can find them. We can have them. We can feed on them. No longer will we suffer. No longer will they roam. We will be peaceful. We will win. We will feed.

    Present Day:
    We have won. We have more to keep us alive. We have grown. We have shown our strengh. We can win. We can feed. We can feed more. More means we will win. There is no hope for them. We have won. We have won.

    The Sands of Time Continue....

    "...and no word from the station about the whereabouts of the three girls that are missing. Please, if you have any word from the girls or have any ideas of where they may be please call the number on your screen."

    Those two girls, Courtney and Rachel are still missing, and now a little one named Chealsea.  In this little town of less than 3 thousand, these disappearances are common. There are at least one a year and it ranges from age to age. But this year is the worst. Three girls in one year, let alone a month? I think the forest is getting stronger, and becoming bolder. In my time, it was one a decade, nothing too serious. But it has been getting worse, I'm afraid that it may believe that we are growing too numerous for the area. And it is getting stronger. I lost my youngest sister to it, when she was about fifteen years old. She held its hunger for five years, then little Jimmy, I used to babysit him, disappeared when he was five. Then Gretel from across town, on her way home from school she disappeared. Gretel's family was new, we convinced the parents that it was a kidnapping, we couldn't bear to tell them the news that it was a forest! Who would believe that a forest was the cause of all this commotion?
    I'm going to be eighty five in the spring, that's old for a girl like me, from my family. But I knew Joe, who disappeared when he was eighty-two, so maybe it might come from me next. I really don't know.
    This has really gone far enough, the town really should do something about all of this. I know the construction work for the new supermarket is not doing well, but that's not any one's fault. It's the towns fault if anything, the town should have done something about the forest a long time before this!
    I would march right into the police station right now if it wasn't for my walker.  His pappy was the chief before him, he would have known what to do. His pappy is gone now, like us normal folk should, he wasn't taken by the forest. Pat Jr. wouldn't know what to do, he's young. He's only heard stories.
    Not like me, I've seen it first hand what the forest could do, and tell me if I'm lucky. I tell myself I'm not.

    Mommy

    I'm scared, I don't know where I am. It's dark ... and and I can hear laughing. Like scary laughing. I d-don't want to be here, I want my mommy!!
    I can hear a few voices, it's like they're chanting something, but I don't know what it is. It sounds like something we sing in Church, like that Gloria song.
    But theres someone else, or something else, who ever it is it pulls on my clothes like it wants me to go somewhere. But I don't know where the where is so I don't want to go.
    It says something to me in the laughing but I don't know what it is. It's scary, I just want to go home!
    All I remember is walking toward the gate, I wanted to feed Sir EatsALot, our neighbors puppy, he's so cute!!
    Then I was here, like I woke up from a nap, but I'm too big for naps so I don't know why I would take one anyways. I'm nine and three months, I'm too old for the carseat but Daddy says I still have to use it.
    Sometimes I fall asleep, I don't know how long it is, but I do. But when I wake up, theres no one there to turn on the light when I ask. I keep asking though, maybe someone does have a light and when they wake up they'll turn it on. Or they can turn on the sun again.
    I miss my mommy though, when can I go home?
    When I wake up sometimes too I can feel the it coming closer, I don't want him too, I want my Mommy!
    Can anyone turn on the light and let me go home? Please?

    At the click of a mouse.....

    Chuck

    Chuck is coming home, he called me yesterday. He knows that I know that, it, got the girls. He thinks he knows how to save them. He wants to burn the forest down. He says there is no other way.
    Burn the forest. How are going to burn the forest down? We're just kids!

    How are we going to save them, and the others? Fire will kill them too, I asked him.
    He said "Alice, if we kill the forest will will save the future of our town. If we kill the girls, in heaven they will understand. But we could also be saving them, we know where they are, we can get to them, in time.
    I promise Alice, we will get everyone in time."

    I have to trust him, after all, at one time, we did promise our future to each other....

    hehe

    It's my birthday,
    I'm finally 19
    And I'm loving it
    :]

    But if anyone asks,
    It's my second anniversary of turning 18,
    Why?
    Because I can say so!

    Happy Birthday to me!
    I want to be 103!
    I'll have a great-great grandkid thats a preschooler,
    and someone to call me mommy [:

    Dan Ritcher

    I used to be in love with this boy, Dan, he was such a sweetheart. He always waited for me at my locker at school, such a sweetheart. Every day he would wait for me after the bus and walk me to my locker, then give me a hug right before the bell. Sometimes his bus would come late so he would catch up during the next bell. Sometimes we didn't even talk, it was just us, being with each other, and that's all we needed that morning.  For my birthday he gave me a smooch, on my cheek, and said that was that. He was so sweet.
    One year, when he actually mastered his cursive, he wrote me a few letters, saying how bored he was waiting for the bus, or a poem or two about odd people that he met in the street or at work. They were so funny, actually here is one, I actually memorized it.

    ♥ Owed to an 80's Hairstyle ♥
    Oh my, your mullet is nicely trimmed,
    the salon lights must have quickly dimmed...
    or maybe the stylist has a mean sense of humor??
    or maybe an undiagnosed malignant brain cancer??

    Perhaps an acid trip gone terribly wrong,
    or a few too many hits from the bong?
    Maybe "Sweet Home Alabama" is her favorite song?
    or it could be all the rage in Hong Kong?

    Either way, in the back there is hair.
    But then again the top is bare.
    I'm confused, I'm angry, I've had quite a scare.
    1982 called, they want you back there!!

    He signed it <3 Dan, but he only put the heart because he believed that the <3 didn't mean anything. If he wrote I love you than it meant something, but he never wrote that to me. I didn't mind, I never did love him, he was too much of a dear friend of mine, to ever love him.

    But then one day, he wasn't there. He wasn't at the door, he wasn't at my locker, he just wasn't... there. So he was put down absent. Then again the next day. And the day after that. After a week people said that he came down with something. A week after that, it was the flu. After that it was mono, then a bad case of the chicken pox. But after a month, we were told that he was officially missing. Missing.
    His truck was gone, apparently he left school, after giving me a hug before I got on the bus, was driving home then disappeared. They think it was around Devil's Forest. I was scared, I didn't know where he went, or anything. It's been six months, I think.
    I don't know how long I've been in here with Courtney, but since I've been here sometimes I think I hear his voice. I think he says my name, but I don't know. Sometimes I think he's saying our phrase, "Estoy en la Gloria", we took Spanish together.  But this is not heaven...

    The Nodnol News

    Nodnol: Chealsea Priggs, 9, of Nodnol dissapered late last night while playing in her backyard. The back yard gate was open, and neighbors assume she left to fed the neighbors dog, which she liked to do after they returned from work. They did not see her that afternoon.  Their russell terrior was still chained up in the backyard, no obvious signs of distress.
    The Priggs live half a block from Devil's Forest, which unexpectedly grew back to the line.  Workers will try to cut down the forest again before Monday morning to resume work on the new supermarket.
    If anyone has any information about Chealsea, or about the mysterious renewal of the forest please call the enviromentalist, Fenn at 860-152-885x or the Police Station at 236-856-96x2.

    For all those of you who are musically inclined...

    Forever Young
    by Rod Stewart

    May the good Lord be with you

    Down every road you roam

    And may sunshine and happiness

    Surround you when you're far from home

    And may you grow to be proud

    Dignified and true

    And do unto others

    As you'd have done to you

    Be courageous and be brave

    And in my heart you'll always stay

    Forever Young

    May good fortune be with you

    May your guiding light be strong

    Build a stairway to heaven

    With a prince or a vagabond

    And may you never love in vain

    And in my heart you will remain

    Forever young

    Forever young

    And forever young

    And forever Young

    And when you finally fly away

    I'll be hoping that I served you well

    For all the wisdom of a lifetime

    No one can ever tell

    But whatever road you choose

    I'm right behind you, win or lose

    Forever young

    Forever young

    Forever young

    And forever young

    Forever young

    The Newspaper

    Nodnol: On Thursday afternoon, Foreman Tom "Twigs" Contell discovered the rusted remains of a Ford 1992 pick up truck under a large tree that was sceduled to come down to make room for the new supermarket coming into town next spring. The Ford belonged to the late Joe Shada, 39, of Nodnol, who dissapeared five years ago after leaving his home that fateful night for a business trip. Shada's remains were not inside, but his clothing, personal belongings and wallet were inside. Investigators say also that an implant in his arm for a surgery the March before was also found in the vehicle.
    The part of the forest that was scheduled to come down is commonly known as 'Devils Forest,' an area that all townfolks avoid. It is hardly frequented and none venture near the forest after dark. Please refrain from entering the forest until the case is cleared.
    If anyone has leads please call 888-999-12x5 or Marshal Dave Littleman at 236-856-96x2.

    Stress Reliver

    Stress

    A lecturer when explaining stress management to an audience,

    Raised a glass of water and asked,

    "How heavy is this glass of water?"

    Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

    The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter.

    It depends on how long you try to hold it.

    If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.

    If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.

    If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance

    In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes."

    He continued,

    "And that's the way it is with stress management.

    If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later,

    As the burden becomes increasingly heavy,

    We won't be able to carry on."

    "As with the glass of water,

    You have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again.

    When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden."

    "So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don't carry it home You can pick it up tomorrow."

    "Whatever burdens you're carrying now,

    Let them down for a moment if you can.

    So, my friend, Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now. Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while."

    Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

    * Accept that some days you're the pigeon,

    And some days you're the statue.

    * Always keep your words soft and sweet,

    Just in case you have to eat them.

    *If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

    * If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again,

    It was probably worth it.

    * It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to be kind to others.

    * Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time,

    Because then you won't have a leg to stand on.

    * Nobody cares if you can't dance well.

    Just get up and dance.

    * When everything's coming your way,

    You're in the wrong lane.

    * You may be only one person in the world,

    But you may also be the world to one person.

    * Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

    * We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

    *A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

    Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today . . . I did.

    The Forest

    It has Courtney, I can hear it laughing at me from miles away. It couldn't get me when I drove by, it couldn't get to me. I made my truck, I knew how  my truck worked, the it didn't. Somehow I got away, but Courtney didn't. I think Rachel is there too, dear Rachel.
    Its out there waiting for me, I can feel its eyeless soul looking for me, even when I'm hundreds of miles away from home. I have to get home, Courtney is my only sister. First dad was taken, now Courtney. I know it took Dad, but I can't prove it, they'll think I'm crazy, like they called Alice's brother. But he even knew what was going on. He dissapeared shortly after Dad did, I know where he is too, but I think it's too late for him. For Dad, I'm not sure. He's always been a strong minded leader, even when he was drinking. He could have been in the army, but his accident prevented him from enlisting. He broke his leg right before he was going to enlist, he was climbing the tree for the business he was working for, to chop down the limbs. Maybe thats why the it wants to get him, because he hurt the it when he was working for the company, cutting down trees and the like.
    I want to be an enviromentalist, to help the enviroment. Maybe that's whay it let me get away, and it wasn't just luck at all. It wanted to let me go so that it could get others that were ... going to hurt it.

    I just want to save my sister, and my Dad, I hope I don't get home too late.
    I'm leaving tonight it, and I'll be there the day after tomorrow. Be ready for a fight.

    short day, long night, no time for a long post

    The generation that is supposed to change the world.

    The generation that is supposed to fix everything.

    The generation that may find a way to live off of earth.

    The generation that will bring peace to all.

    The generation that is currently doing who-knows-what in places that we dont want to see.

    This is the generation that will wake up and change the world.

    If this is not the generation that will, then I will myself.

    Essay from Class

    Have you ever been asked who you looked up to? Or who your hero was? I have multiple times, actually just last week I was asked, as an ice breaker in class. My heroine is my baby cousin Madeline, who lost the battle to cancer. Evil Six Letter Word. She's our little princess up in heaven now, it still gives everyone a catch in their throats, you know, when you hear a name of someone you knew and loved, but they're gone now. I have a couple catches in my throat lately, my great aunt, and my great grandma, who recently passed away. But that will come at a later date.
    My heroine is Madeline. She is one of the strongest 5 year old I've ever known.

    But the person I looked up to was my cousin, 'Betty.' She was pretty cool to me, she had everything. Her family moved around a lot, so we never really got to see them too often. But she did have the coolest room set ups! It was neat seeing how she packed everything up and somehow fit it all in her next room.
    One house was pretty cool, she had all her dolls on one shelf, one was named after her which was kinda neat. I was jealous. There were no dolls named after me when they were around then. It was a tiny room, right next to her younger brother's. I don't remember where her sisters room was, but that doesn't really matter right now. It was tiny but it was a girls dream room! It had shelves for dolls, room to sit and be a girl in! That's how awesome it was.
    Her next room was more preteens. It had 98 degree posters, everything that was popular in the late 90's. It had Polly pocket, a big bed and a lot of mini little teenish decorations. I loved that room! It was my favorite room I think. It was long and whenever I went in it I felt like I actually could live in it. It was pretty cool.
    The next room was when she moved more near me about six or seven years back. She lived on the first floor with her own bathroom, and if she shut the door she was completely closed off from the family. But it was a mess, I could never see the floor after the first week she moved in. I was sorely upset. But then I heard what happened.
    Apparently after she graduated things started to go downhill in my opinion. I knew she was pretty cool. She was the one I looked up to when I was younger. She was the one I wanted to be. She had the perfect clothes, hair was always perfectly dyed, she had the best dolls, toys and she was so tall too! I wanted to be tall like her, get perfect marks like her, I wanted to BE her!
    My perspective on her changed one day, we were at her house, some family party, Thanksgiving perhaps? When she kept disappearing during the party with a guy that was with her. A guy. Me being 13 didn't think much of it. She was a teenager, almost an adult in my mind, she could do whatever she wanted really. Me being an idiot when I got home I asked my folks what she was doing. They passed each other a look, the look she-doesn't-know-the-bad-news-should-we-tell-her kind of look. They spilled the news. Her life had begun to go down hill since High School.
    She did a few things that I'm not even sure what they're called, drank and finally dropped out of college. DROPPED OUT. I'm never going to drop out for the reason that she did. She got pregnant. From some sleazeball that she's still seeing. Only Seeing. She's not even married yet. YET. She met this great guy when her baby was just born at work [Her little one is adorable, its not its fault for any of this] but she's treating him in such a way that they called off the wedding. I wish she'd stay with this new guy, he's the best thing that's ever happened to her.
    Betty was someone that I looked up to, and right now I'm not sure what I think of her.
    At the services this past weekend I saw everything stripped, everything that she was trying to cover. Her hate, her passion, everything that would have kept her together.
    She was crying, I gave her what I had right then, we supported each other in that hug, there was nothing else we could do. She felt so small, my tall cousin, and she felt empty. Like there was nothing left after the service. I felt like she was gone and there was nothing left keeping her together but her clothes. If I let go she might have disappeared.
    Everything that she said and did was a facade, fake, nothing was real. We don't actually know Betty, I don't think we ever will. I know I never will.
    But that night when I first heard about what she was doing, she broke my heart.
    After the service, she started to build it back up. She pulled down that wall for me, just for a second, then it was back up and I didn't see the fragile person inside of her anymore.
    I'll never forget when she let me see the fragile person inside of her, it's the last memory I have of her being the person I looked up to.
    Betty, I hope you know that I love you, but I wish you knew where you were going.

    At Work today...

    Two girls, about 15 years old each walked up to cash out.

    Both of them were laden down with a TON of candy for the movies.

    One of them had a bone to check out too.

    Seeing how Eclipse was still playing in our theaters I asked them,

    "Whose the were-wolf?"

    Out of the three of us, I think the one not buying the bone was laughing the loudest!

    Charlie

    Sometimes I think he's still out there, he just can't get home to us. I was so ... mad, at him when he left us. I couldn't think, I smoked so much that whole week. Charlie would have been furious! He hates it when I smoke in the house, I tried to stop before he ... left, I only smoked outside. It was better that way too, the house smelled better.
    The kids didn't believe that he would have left us, it didn't seem in his nature. Why would Charlie, a father of two leave after twenty one years of marriage? It didn't make sense.
    All the guys in town saw him at the Pub later that night, when he stormed out of her after we fought. We were fighting about Chuck joining the army or not. Chuck said no, I said yes, Charlie said let the boy decide. Charlie got so mad at Chuck he threw his soccer trophy from high school at the wall where it broke in two, then he left. I fixed Chuck's trophy, it looks fine now, but Chuck won't look at it any more. It's tucked away somewhere in the attic. He feels like his fathers dissapearance is all his fault. I won't say anything. I'm not sure who's fault it is.
    At the Pub the guys said he only drank a couple of beers, under the limit and no where near drunk, Charlie could hold anything, even for a man his size, 5'11 and 190 lbs. They say he left around midnight, and was heading home, but then his truck apparantly went by again going the other direction, like he turned around for some reason. No one has seen him since.
    A few nights after he left I started having dreams about him, scary dreams. He was in his truck still, but he was in a cocoon of sorts, it was around his truck. He was in there, it seemed like he was sleeping, but his eyes were open. He was breathing, but if he wasn't breathing, I would have thought him dead.
    I don't know where he was.
    But now since my baby girl has gone, I'm dreaming like that more and more.
    I'm afraid that I'll dream of my baby girl the same way, and I'll never be able to see either of them ever again...
