Saying Goodbye

I had a dream last night
That I was trying to write you a letter
On stationary, upon a little hill
One looking over the green valley that we call home
But a strong gust of wind blew
And ripped your letter from my hands
Leaving me behind with only a pen
As proof that I tried at all
The wind left me behind
With my hair flowing, and dress twirling
Collapsed upon my knees in disdain
For I had tried to say goodbye

By my darling came along and lifted me
And even you said he'd be good to me
He held me close and carried me down the hill
And I remembered what you said
"He's good to you right? Because that's what counts.
  Don't take anything less."
So while you're there and we, your friends
Remain behind, know that we're all safe
Please don't worry about us, we'll worry about you
Just remember me in that sundress
Dancing out on your summer lawn

Owls

World, Meet Baby Hettie and Momma Hattie!

I made Baby Hettie for a paying customer who is giving her away to a friend who is having a baby shortly after Thanksgiving! I wish her friend the best and happy travels Baby Hettie!

Momma Hattie needs a nose-job (my fault entirely) but it doesn't mean that she can't be less loved! If no one buys her, she might be going on the craft table in a few weeks! Well, yes I have been offered to place items on a table at an upcoming craft fair in December! I'm so excited!

I'll post a picture of who else will be joining us on the table, in the meantime...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

Scared

The youth of today
Know more than us

They can whiz by us on equipment
That we built
Survive sicknesses
That once killed us
Solve crisises
That once plagued us
Understand problems
That once confused us
Invade in private places
That we didn't dare to go

The youth of yesterday
Know less than us

They can't understand technology
That we built
Survive sicknesses
That we found vaccinations for
Solve crisises
That we now find child's play
Understand problems
Which we have now solved
Avoided Private places
Which we dared to explore

The youth of today
Cannot teach the youth of tomorrow
As the youth of yesterday
Were not able to teach us

Can we learn from our mistakes
And teach the ones that come after
Or will we wallow in our mistakes
And refuse to learn again

Never

If I were yours
There's so much that you'd say
Or what you should say
Rather, what I wish you would say
If I were yours

If I were yours
There are so many places that you'd take me
Or places you should take me
Actually, more like places I wish you would take me
If I were yours

If I were yours
There are so many things that you'd do for me
Or things you should do
Perhaps, things I wish you'd do for me
If I were yours

But I'm not yours
So you won't say these sweet nothings
That I wish that you would say
Instead I've found another who will say
I am his

But I'm not yours
So you won't take me to somewhere new
That I wish you would take me
Instead I've found another who will and will say
I am his

But I'm not yours
So you won't do simple things for me everyday
That I wish you would any day or night
Instead I've found another and in this way he says
I am his

This Little Piggy ...

Business is booming on my end! Someone asked me if I could make a piggy themed hat, and sure enough I can! This little piggy is staying home for just one more day, then he's heading out to his new home! The best part about him is that he is really warm on those really cold days that we have out here!
Enjoy your new home Piglet!

Monkeying Around

"Let's Monkey, Let's Monkey Around!"

My friend is having a baby and her theme for the little one is Monkeys! So to welcome the little one into the world, she asked me to make her a monkey hat that went along with the theme. I hope the little guy likes it! (And I hope that I made it big enough! The doctor says he's getting bigger by the day!)

Minions

"It's So FLUFFYYYY!!!!!"

Couldn't resist! A friend of mine sent me a picture of one pattern and from there I took off with the minions! I've made quite a few (you can't have just one minion!) and as you can see here they came out pretty awesome!
The best part is, Christmas is coming up and these are great stocking stuffers!

Settle

Can you settle…
For something you’ll never have?
There’s something that I’ve dreamed about
An idea really
Of what he’ll really be like
Funny, Smart, Average like Me
Gives attention, offers help, overall helpful
A clever Boy Scout
Nothing will ever be
Good enough for Daddy’s Little Girl
So does this mean that I have to settle?
Do I have to settle
For a boy
Instead of a Man
Do I have to settle
For attention online
Instead of attention in person
Do I have to settle
For old stories
Instead of creating new ones
Do I have to settle
For hiding who we are
Instead of showing everyone who we are
Do I have to settle
For you
When there is so someone else
That I don’t have to settle for.

Life isn't fair.

Fair.
Life.
All they have in common is I.

I.
I am,
The one thing in common between life
and fair.

You can be a fair skinned person
With beautiful locks
Glittering eyes and
A youthful smile.
But how is your life?
It has ups and down,
Twists and Turns,
And not everything is
In black. Or White.

Or maybe you're a life-guard,
With a slimmed body by a red suit
Safety skills to be envied
And a well paying job, in the summer.
But how is everything else in your mind?
Are you worried that this will be the summer
That something awful will happen?
Will you make enough to make it
Into the college of your dreams?

I know that Life isn't Fair.
But I know that it has me
To be afraid of
Because if I know the truth about
Life and being Fair
Then all I need is
Me.

Give In.

Don't let me give up,
Or give too much,
Or give in.

Because I will give up at the moment I can,
I will give away too much of me,
I will give in to temptation.

Because I will let myself fall, I'm my own worst enemy,
I will loan away all, and never ask for it back,
I will give in until it hurts.

Because I will learn to never stand for myself,
I will lose all the ground that I stand on,
I will give in until there is none.

Please, I know that I am strong, if you give me the chance.
I know that I know what my limits are, if you wait.
I know that there are times to give in,
But today is not that day.

I don't need you to tell me not to give up,
Or tell me not to give away too much,
Or give in at the first moment,

Because I've learned my lesson,
And I'll hold my own ground,
And I'll never again give in.

His.

His.
His.
What a wonderful word.

I am his.
His.
What a wonderful phrase.

Dating. Him.
Him! Oh him.

I feel like I'm, Oh!

Monosyllabic.

That's it!
And when he... Ah!

Turned heads! Me!
Us! Ah!

His.

Catchup

Hello!

I'm sorry, the cats did not eat me. I just got so busy and forgot to post about what happened while house sitting! I'm fine, but the cats are missing and the house burned down. I'm totally kidding. Sort of... one of the cats took off the morning they were to arrive. Chances are it's had enough and took off for sure. Apparently that's what cats do before they die, they run away so no one has to deal with the sadness. I have no idea. I'm not a cat person.

In the meantime though, I've returned home, started a new job, been on a few dates, actually have a boyfriend, decided to quit said job and am starting a new one this coming Monday (yayy!). I'm moving up in the world and I'm not letting anyone grouch stop me! I'm once again working on cleaning my room, so my idea is that if I shame myself in to having a dirty room that needs to be cleaned, perhaps it will stay clean with weekly updates! I don't know, maybe it will work, maybe there is one one who actually reads this, or maybe there are a few out there that are saying GO KJ! but unless if you actually say anything, I have no idea!

So, to wrap up, thanks for sticking with me for the past month and I hope things can go back on schedule! Have a fantastic day!

Darlin', please be my King

I'm afraid to write about you
Because this time I believe it to be true
I'm really falling for you

I've written about others that I've dated
About those men who my rushes have sated
And those who I called a birthday gift belated

Lately I've been all about me, me, me
But now I'm beginning to open my eyes and see
How truly happy I can be

So forgive me if nothing here seems to be about us
Everyday we seem to have some thing to discuss
But about this, please darling, do not fuss

To the world there is so much to sing
Which means, This can only be one other thing
Let me say: I'll be your Queen if you'll be my King

Gone

Do not let me leave
Without saying Goodbye
Without a glance from you
Or a touch
Or a kiss

Do not let me cry
Without you giving help
Without a cup of tea
An embrace
An embrace

I don't want to leave
Without you knowing
Without you saying
It's over
It's done

And knowing it to be true

Kielbasa and Rise Medley

This dinner was amazing. I made it twice, once by myself and the second time when my friend stayed the night with me!
I bought the kielbasa on sale at Stop & Shop (that place is awesome!) and had no idea how to cook it. Come to find out, my mother puts it in the frying pan, my father boils it and everyone else just puts in the crock pot. Well... not me! I actually found a recipe online that pointed me in a different direction: cook it!
I put it in the oven for 20 minutes under 375 degrees and while that was cooking I boiled water and added the rice medley! In half an hour dinner was done, posed perfectly on the plate and really really delicious! I made it again for my friend and she had no idea that you could make kielbasa in the oven like that so she was amazed at how delicious it came out!
So, you try it and let me know how it came out... I'd love to know!

Day by Day

I won't waste another breath
Nor another tear
Or another thought
On that idea

The deed is done
The past is past
All but memories
Which I'll hold dear

We tried our best to do it all
Call me crazy
But you are right
It's best we remain friends

Friends are all we'll remain to be
Friends who have seen so much
Kissed all, loved more
Traded secrets even

I'll move on and so will you
And we'll revert back to who we were
Girl and Boy, Friend and Friend
This will never again be revealed

I've no regrets, neither do you
But time is wasting, time is money
Money is what we both need to survive
To have and to hold, to survive

Call me for a movie, or a drink, or two
Even ask me occasionally to ask how was my day
But don't ask for anything more than that
Please, I'm still living day by day

Time

Tick Tock goes the clock
Like in the Nursery Rhyme
The mouse runs up
The clock winds down
That is the way of time

Time
Like in the Pink Floyd song
Always running never slowing
Driving us all mad
Mad, crazy, insane, alive

Alive, alive, alive
Bring the world alive Mother Nature
Bring on the rain Bring on the sun
Bring on the pain in every woman
Pain, pain go away

Away in the manger
Lies the babe that will die in glory
Who will die for sins so that we may have none
And yet we all sin every day, and then we die
A soul per Tick

Sangria

I'm not sure if you're aware, but I enjoy a glass of wine when I can have one! As for tonight, I had a glass of Pinot Noir and I enjoyed it, but what I really would like is a glass of Sangria!

Now, Sangria really isn't a wine by itself, but more like a bunch of wine's combined together! Delicious!

What you need to do is combine a couple of wines in your fridge (best after a party when everyone brings a white or rose wine!), cut up a couple of fruits, and keep it cold!

I've had a few Sangria's, each one as different as the wines that are made in each winery, but I've yet to come across a bad one! I've heard people doing one white to one red, two reds and a white, or a red with a ton of fruit. You really can't make a bad sangria! However, it might be the best idea to not mix wineries. Find a winery that you like (or a label if you don't live near one like I do) and mix theirs. Their wines often mix better together because they're from the same soil, grown by the same person and on and on.

Enjoy it how you will!

Housesitting Day 12

Day Eleven. I've got one more week left for house sitting. On the bright side, I can't wait to go home! It's been interesting living in my own 'apartment'. I have to wake myself up on time to go to work, I have to take care of my own meals, and I'm responsible for more than one breathing creature. It's been an experience.

Today I picked up the mail and took care of the lousy chickens. I swear they're out to get me. Only one egg this morning, and when I went to take care of them this afternoon I didn't find any more in the coop which leaves me to suspect that the neighbors have been taking them all again. No worries! It's not like I can eat a dozen in a day! Oh... that's an idea. Maybe I can leave brownies behind for the family that I'm sitting for... something nice to come home to!

I made dinner tonight, and I don't think I'm going to make it again. It was a shortened recipe, I didn't really feel like digging up the rest of the ingredients so I made do with what I had. I had a package of salmon, cream cheese and fresh tomatoes that I wrapped up with a dash of salt, pepper and garlic in a, well, a wrap. The combination was alright, but I don't think I'll make it again unless if was with the right bread.

My voice is slowly coming back. But by coming back means with a mean cough that just jars my ribs. It'll pass soon. It always does. Hopefully in time for my test on Friday!

Mom wants to take me out for dinner tomorrow night, which is great for me because then I don't have to make anything! I ate the leftovers from last night for lunch, and I have one more serving that I'll for tomorrow's lunch so that just leaves me with Thursday open to ideas. Maybe macaroni and cheese for sure this time? I don't know. We'll find out soon enough!

So last night I came up with this idea with the baby ducklings that I've been making: Tooth fairy pillows! I just sew on one wing and leave it open like a little pocket, big enough for a baby tooth! I've already given away three... maybe I should sell the rest and make a profit...

Also, with last night I finished another Sheila Connolly novel! I'll have this one posted soon! I can't wait for the next one, that's for sure! In the mean time I'm going to be reading a different novel, since I can't get to the library until next week. Sigh. And I want to find out if they end up together or not!! Meg and Seth that is...

Anyways... night!

Housesitting Day 11

Hello!

Woke up this morning at 6 a.m. and could not fall back asleep no matter how hard I tried. When I finally did wake up I went 'uh oh!' because I had to be in work by 10 a.m., not 10:30 like I was used to! Yikes! I had pasta leftover from dinner with my girlfriend from last night and after feeding the chickens, I was out the door! No sign of the cats though. Weird. One of the chickens did try to get loose but I got it by one of it's legs and tossed it back into the pen. Stupid chicken.

Work was uneventful, almost finished my book which is nice. I started it weeks ago, and I'm almost done with it! Yay! I even snagged a lunch at work, which was nice since all I had was pasta salad. After work I picked up some more Ibuprofen (something is giving me a headache!), some Vitamin C pills and new (thongs). Yes, I did it. One's black and the others tan. Now I have five. Hey, they're not that bad and they kind of do make me feel sexy on my down days. Did I really just say that?

So tonight when I got home from work I fed the chickens and realized they were out of water so I gave them more water, picked up four more eggs and met the neighbors wife. She's awesome because she invited me over for dinner some night this week! Awesome! I don't have to make food at some point this week!

Speaking of food: I made dinner! Tuna is brain food, right? Well I made like a modge podge dinner of sorts. It has bow tie pasta, tuna fish, peas, and Alfredo sauce. I don't know if I'd make it again, or maybe I got something in the recipe wrong... it turned out really cold. I'll figure it out. I made enough for three meals, tonight's dinner, tomorrows lunch (if I can find a microwave on campus) and tomorrow night's dinner. Nice huh?

As I was locking up the chickens for the night I found one under the coop... more or less not there. Great. Something got to the chickens last night. And I didn't hear it! Oops. I hope it doesn't try again, or else I'll just call the neighbor. They've got the shot gun!

Well, I'm pooped so I think I'm going to finish... Oh I forgot to mention! I figured out how to make an 'open' wing on the ducklings that I've been crocheting so I've been making Tooth Fairy Pillows! They're beautiful and I can't wait to send them out to the general public!

Well, night everyone!

Housesitting Day 10

Wow what a day!

Today as I was heading out to take care of the chickens the little girls that live next door came running down the hill yelling 'Miss Elizabeth!' with colored paper streaming behind them as if they were dragging hand made kites. They caught up to messy me in my pajamas and they had hand made cards thanking me for the 'chickens' that I made for them the other day! What sweethearts! I gave them both a hug and the eggs from today and sent them back up the hill. Those girls are awesome!

I headed in to work with my girlfriend, who was dropped off by her boyfriend, and since I wasn't needed for a little while I headed home to drop off some fresh eggs! The house was packed up and I got to see my Dad and Little Bro head off to camp for the week. It was nice to see them for a few minutes!

At the Winery where I work, we were into Day Two of the Wine Festival, but luckily it was a little quieter than it had been so we lucked out. Well, not me so much because I lost my voice the night before and I was squawking for most of the day! Way to go Laryngitis! The day went pretty well with me pulling in $21 tip which was nice.

My girlfriend and I went out to the local pub for dinner: Angus Burgers and Sweet Potato Fries! Delicious! That filled us up (and I got the pasta salad for tomorrow for lunch!) and we headed out separate ways. What a great way to spend a weekend together!

I think I'm going to pour myself a cup of honey & tea and settle in for a few shows... I'm pooped!

Night!

Housesitting Day 9

Good morning!

Well, I'm not feeling that much better, but I better put on my big girl panties and ride out this storm because I got another long day of work ahead of me! Today I'm back at the winery and today is going to be the first day of the festival!

The girls took care of the chickens for me, which was sweet, but I had to hustle up and get to my girlfriend who was waiting for me on the other side of town for a ride! After I picked her up, we rushed to work, and what a day awaited us! It seemed like the miles of people wouldn't end! I was pretty funny trying to help people while coughing and sneezing most of the day, but at least I knew that most of that was all from allergies! Oy. But what a fun day we had! I took a ton of pictures for people, got four dollars in tips for helping out this one group (FOUR!) And in total got $30 in tips for the day! That is pretty awesome!

My girlfriend ended up getting us dinner, so we chilled outside, took a few sunset pictures and headed back to her boyfriends for some barbecue chicken dinner! That was pretty awesome! I headed home after that, closed up the chickens, fed the cats and crashed watching SNL.

It was a pretty awesome day. And I realized something today too... I'm living in my own apartment basically. How awesome is that!?!?

Night ya'll!

Housesitting Day 8

Ever wake up and feel like there's an elephant on your chest? That's me this morning. Ugh! I woke up before the alarm and decided that I was going to call out of work, no matter what happened. I was all stuffy, I had a headache, coughing... the list went on and on! After I fed the chickens and got the mail, I checked my temperature, 99! It did go down during the morning but I called work right away and said I wasn't coming in. There was no way in hell, dude!

I had a fresh egg for breakfast, only one fresh egg today, took a shower and discovered that my girlfriend was sick too! She didn't come over tonight because we didn't want to swap viruses, but we are working together tomorrow which is nice. She's out shopping right now for new clothes while I sit here and watch Bones, Supernatural and CSI. Awesome! I was just thinking that I haven't had a day off in a really long time for some reason and taking today off, albeit, a few hours before I was supposed to be on, I'm starting to feel pretty good!

Speaking of feeling pretty good, All that is running now is my nose with a few coughs here and there. One of my guy friends just texted me and said that he's having a party tonight and he invited me! I can't think of the last time I was ever even invited to a party that was off campus! I don't know what time the party is, but I was thinking of making those apple croissant things that I made the other night. Those were good hot and I think everyone might actually enjoy them too!

Speaking of food, I'm hungry. I think I'm going to scare up something for lunch. Hungry is good right? When you're sick?

For lunch, since I was a twit, I had ramen and that's all I had for food today. I'm an idiot, I know. On the other hand I did end up at that party! I saw all of my high school friends there which was pretty awesome. We played ultimate Frisbee (which I never played before) and despite all the bumps and bruises and swears we had fun!  I ended up blocking a throw that gave me two HUGE bruises on my arms which is going to be interesting to explain tomorrow when they really get big! Does falling down the stairs (again) work? I hope! At the end of the night when all the party folk went home, my friend told me that he would definitely invite me to another round of Frisbee since I was such a crazy wild card! I can't wait!

Well, I'm still a bit stuffed by definitely feeling a lot better than I did a few hours ago!

Night!

Housesitting Day 7

I'm not on the mend. I went back to work today and left early due to sneezing, coughing and a slight tummy ache. Listen to me, I sound like a little kid! Tummy ache, hah!

I actually had a date last night, big whoop, so I headed to the local consignment shop and bought a new shirt in the hopes that I'd cheer myself up and I ran into an old classmate! Turned out he's been dating his best friend for a few years now (I'm really not surprised) and both of them are doing really well! Good for you! Hope all continues to be well on your side Fed! ☺

I'll post the new picture after laundry day, turns out it was covered in cat fuzz which made for an interesting evening. We ended up seeing R.I.P.D. and it was AWESOME. Go see it. You won't be disappointed. I swear. After the date he took me back to his house, I talked to his parents and I left. He didn't even take me out for dinner. Whatever. I had leftover rice medley waiting for me at home.

I came home to a really cranky cat who would NOT let me have my pajamas back, simply would not! She kept hissing at me and her tail kept doing this strange wiggle so I backed off and let her have the pajamas. Of course I put that on tumbler and I kept getting funny answers out of family and friends. One friend said that well, they are after all the CATS pajamas, another said that at least it didn't have my tongue.. .and so many more! What a catastrophe!

Turned out it was just throwing a hissy fit and all I needed was the other cat to drive it away, I did have a spray bottle on hand though just in case! What a catastrophe!

I hope tomorrow I feel a little better!

Housesitting Day 6

Hello!

I've survived another night here, and I almost didn't! This morning I decided to make scrambled eggs, with my mothers recipe, and I ended up having a scrambled eggs wrap with salsa! Delicious! I don't like ketchup so it was the perfect switch.

I ended up calling out early at work, which I rarely do, but I just did not feel well. I thought at first it was the milk in my scrambled eggs, but when I got home I fell asleep for two hours! My mother had me check my temperature and it's a good thing she did, it was 100! I took an Ibuprohen and took another nap, ate dinner and headed back to the house that I was house sitting at, with the hope that I'll get over it soon!

I did laundry here for the first time, I love their washer and dryer! They're so quiet!

After a lovely night of sleep I headed back to work, ready to enjoy the tuna salsa wrap that I had prepared for lunch the day before! Whoops.

Wish me luck while I'm on the mend!

Housesitting Day 5

What a way to start the morning... at 8 a.m.! I actually got my but out of bed early today! I was rewarded with five fresh eggs and a busted finger. Owch! When I opened the chicken coop door (Coop: 2, Me: 1) I gouged my finger somehow and made a big hole. It's healing okay though, so no worries! It's going to be one hell of a scar though... ☺

After a breakfast of scrambled eggs in a wrap, I took a shower and headed out to work. On my way I ran into a neighbor who, funny enough, is friends with an old flame's sister! Shesh, you really can't get anywhere in this town without somebody hearing your business!

Work was uneventful, but it gave me a few ideas about dinner! I stopped by the dollar store and picked up a few supplies. Yesterday I had bought kielbasa, so I knew that that was already on the menu, but what else looked good? I ended up picking up tuna fish, bow tie pasta, Alfreda sauce, peas, and band aids. Well, those were on the reciept. After a quick snack at the local mom & pop store I headed home to make dinner. And what a dinner I had! I'm going home tomorrow for dinner, so what I bought today will have to wait until Thursday, but that's fine by me! Just another day for another idea!

Today I had kielbasa with rice medley, and if I'm hungry after the movies tonight, a nice chickpea, cucumber, and fresh lettuce salad will be waiting for me in the fridge!

I'll post the recipe in a little bit (It was really easy, so easy that I could make it!) but for right now I have to go and study!

Ciao!

Housesitting Day 4

Today I came back to my friends house and had a lovely conversation with the neighbor. His kids love taking care of the chickens apparently, it gives them a sense of responsibility!

I finally managed to hook up into the wifi, these were at first written in word, then posted here once I figured it out, I can say one thing about wires... They're tricky to figure out! I'm all set now though... so I'm practically posting live! Awesome!

Today after work I decided to pick up dinner... and not just easy dinner from McDonalds or something like that. No sir. I'm going to make my own dinner and enjoy it! Today I picked up kielbasa, mixed rice, black beans, tortilla rolls, and tuna fish. I'm going to post what I'm making with the tuna fish, then again with the kielbasa!

Well, it's getting on dinner time now, so let's see if I can make my own dinner... of if I just manage to succeed in burning down the house! ... Well, I hope it's the former. I wouldn't know what to do if it was the former!

Be back after dinner! xo - E

Well, it's after dinner and why ruin a good post? Today I had a Tuna Fish Wrap, which you can find under Recipes! It's kind of fun living alone, because then I get to try all these neat recipes without my mother looking over my shoulder every other second 'fixing' what I've done. Oh, and there are chickpeas in the recipe and let me tell you... they were an excellent additive! The recipe calls for black beans, but I"m not a huge fan of them so I swapped it out with the chick peas. It was a good play on my part definitely! And there was enough for two sandwiches, so tomorrow I'm going to have the second for lunch! Yum, yum!

I'm going to totter back up to the living room and watch a new show called Under the Dome, it's based off a Stephen King novel and if I can find the book again I'll write another review!

   Ciao!

Housesitting Day 3

I survived the night! Although, I woke up in the middle of the night listening to 48 hours and I had my whole life flash by by pictures... and that's a scary dream! I still don't know who 'murdered' me though... maybe that's tonight's dream!

I actually took a shower today at this house. You think you're smart until you try to take a shower at someone else s house. After a quick breakfast of eggs, cleaned up the house, I was back out the door! ... to feed and the chickens. Or so I thought. The neighbor's girls had already taken care of them! Sneaky kids. I suppose if I got out the door before 10 a.m. I would have taken care of it myself!

I still haven't seen the black cat. Hopefully it'll show up soon and then I'll know that it's getting fed!

I'm staying at my own house tonight since we're having guests, but I got the kids to take care of the chickens for me for the night.

Yes! My own sweet bed tonight! Oh joy...

See you tomorrow!

Housesitting Day 2

Hello again! I survived the night, and the neighbors after they came by to check up on me and see if the house was still standing. I'm not kidding.

The neighbors kids took care of the chickens for me, the fed them, watered them and took all the eggs! That's alright, they're sweet kids!

I got up, and had some eggs that were stashed away in the fridge. Fresh eggs really do taste better! I've got an easy-peasy scrambled egg recipe on here for you try later on!

Later, I got dressed and went off into the wide world back to my house for lunch, as I didn't think that far ahead and buy myself some real food! Oh, and smarties. I have to have my smarties.

On my way home I stopped at Stop & Shop and bought some supplies for another recipe that I wanted to try and salsa and dip for Saturday Night Live! Bit of a boring day... but wait! There was work! Which of course, went by quickly.

I did get to try some Sangria though... That was delicious!

Oh! It's time for SNL! Night!

Housesitting Day 1

Well, I am house-sitting for a dear friend and I've decided to Journal my adventures. This is going to be a fun experience because not only do I have the house to myself, but I have to take care of her two cats and plethora of chickens! I've left the comforts of home, such as mom made cooking and most of my laundry, at home and I have to fend for myself most of the time! I know the neighbors which is the good news, and the house, so I'm pretty well off!

During my time here I will be holding two jobs, starting a new job, studying for a test and taking care of the animals. I will also be making my own food, doing my own laundry (as I know how) and getting myself out of bed on time to go to work, the test, etc. This is going to be one heck of an adventure and I'm going to enjoy just about every minute of it!

So, today is day one. I'm staying the night on the couch because I can't stand sleeping on her bed and I've discovered how to use the remote. I don't have to cook my own dinner because my mother cooked for me and I should be studying but instead I'm trying to figure out the house myself. I did go to a study session earlier in the day, I didn't go to work, so I feel like I did take care of it, but I really should study some more.

Well, the chickens are in the coop, the cats are fed (only one is around, strange) and I'm off to bed as well.

G'night! xo - E
