You Never Know

You wouldn't know the things that you'd miss on a daily basis
Such as a simple good morning, or a simple good night
A cheery hello, a glorious goodbye or have a good day
These silly little trivial exchanges, I never knew that I'd miss...

At first we'd say good morning as we both woke up around the same time
And an occasional good night as I would be the last to go down
But by and by I wouldn't see her ever again
Then finally she moved out

You wouldn't know the things that you'd miss on a daily basis
Such as the simple act of turning on the light when she went out
Or laughing along to the same television shows
Or her love of hamburgers, or the color orange... never thought I'd miss that

We moved in and it didn't really seem to fit at first
But we got along, in class, in shows and on trivial nights
And agreed on some tings and disagreed on others
It was a breath of fresh air when it was the end and we got along better

You wouldn't know the things that you'd miss on a daily basis
Such as the simple act of waking me up when the alarm wouldn't
Or helping me out in particular subjects like math and science
Keep in mind that for the first time I slept on the ceiling  like a cat

Third basemen? Ah... no. Just a Jedi knight in disguise!
Again, I didn't know that I would get so wrapped up in yarn with her
Or fight off the llama lords, or defeat the many hurricanes
But we lived and learned and loved the best we could: And that's what I'll miss

You wouldn't know the things that you'd miss on a daily basis
Such as her snoring underneath me (boy was she loud!)
Or the silly little notes that she left for me all over the room
Or the sneaky hello when I slept in a little too late... what a hello!

You wouldn't know the things that you'd miss on a daily basis
Such as a simple good morning, or a simple good night
A cheery hello, a glorious goodbye or have a good day
These silly little trivial exchanges, I never knew that I'd miss... you.

Pachyderms

You would think a group of children live in this house
With the hundreds of muddy feet traipsing through the halls
Leaving wet hand prints up and down the hand rails

You would think a gaggle of young girls live in this house
With the hundreds of little flowrey undies in the wash
And the dresses all lined up ready to be pressed

You would think a herd of girlie elephants live in this house
With the thumping and pounding of dancing little pachyderm feet
The screaming and trumpeting when a new date stops in

There is a group, no a gaggle, no, a herd of girls that live in dorm house
That run around showing off and having the great college time
All the while leaving behind memories and traditions that will last for years to come

What Is Love

Slow down for three minutes to read this. It
is so worth it.

Touching words from the mouth of babes.

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds,

'What does love mean?'

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined

See what you think:

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'

Rebecca- age 8

'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.

You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'

Billy - age 4

'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'

Karl - age 5

'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.'

Chrissy - age 6

'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'

Terri - age 4

'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'

Danny - age 7

'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that.

They look gross when they kiss'

Emily - age 8

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents

And listen.'

Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate, '

Nikka - age 6

(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it every day..'

Noelle - age 7

'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'

Tommy - age 6

'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling.

He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'

Cindy - age 8

'My mommy loves me more than anybody

You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'

Clare - age 6

'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'

Elaine-age 5

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford .'

Chris - age 7

'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.'

Mary Ann - age 4

'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'

Lauren - age 4

'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.'
(what an image)

Karen - age 7

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross..'

Mark - age 6

'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'

Jessica - age 8

And the final one

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there..

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,

'Nothing, I just helped him cry'

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need. Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent you this.

Heavenly Father, please bless all my friends in whatever it is that You know they may be needing this day! And may their life be full of Your peace, prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with You. Amen.

Then send it on to five other people, Within hours you caused a multitude of people to pray for other people. Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life.

P. S. Five is good, but more is better..

God Bless You!

Can

Drink.

Upon impulse you reach for that can
Sitting there within range
On the shelf there
Within the halo of light

You reach for the fire
That will Light the oxygen
That is in your lungs

You reach for the knowledge
That this will bring you to fame
That this has the potential to feed your desire

You reach for the power
That boasts of immortality
That will not end with an early death

Drank.

Upon impulse you reached for that can
That sat there within range
On the shelf over there
Gone is the halo of light

The fire incinerates within you
The oxygen is crackling with the burning
Of the fight that is in your lungs

The knowledge consumes you
Of unknown depths of the fame
That burns within you to be desired

The power is attracted to you
That boasts of the immortality
Death is not an option

Drunk.

The can has been consumed
It is no long within range
The shelf is no longer needed
The halo is upon you now

Unquenchable is the fire
It eats at the oxygen that is cannot
And destroys all that is impossible

Knowledge is what you have
And you keep modesty now instead of fame
Your will to be an individual is desired

Power is all yours, conqueror of the can
With this you can be immortal
Defeat in death is no longer an option

Rock Around the Clock!

One, two, three o'clock, four o'clock, rock,
Five, six, seven o'clock, eight o'clock, rock,
Nine, ten, eleven o'clock, twelve o'clock, rock,
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight.

Put your glad rags on and join me, hon,
We'll have some fun when the clock strikes one,
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight,
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til broad daylight.
We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight.

When the clock strikes two, three and four,
If the band slows down we'll yell for more,
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight,
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til broad daylight.
We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight.

(1st guitar solo)

When the chimes ring five, six and seven,
We'll be right in seventh heaven.
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight,
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til broad daylight.
We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight.

When it's eight, nine, ten, eleven too,
I'll be goin' strong and so will you.
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight,
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til broad daylight.
We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight.

(2nd guitar solo)

When the clock strikes twelve, we'll cool off then,
Start a rockin' round the clock again.
We're gonna rock around the clock tonight,
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'til broad daylight.
We're gonna rock, gonna rock, around the clock tonight.

P.S. I don't own any of these lyrics or songs that I post! They're just fun to share!
