I own too many shoes,

I own too many clothes,

I own all the old '90s CD's

That I don't listen to anymore.

I own more boxes and bags,

Than I'll ever use in a lifetime.

There are pictures in frames, 

Posters on walls, 

Ripped from magazines, 

Of people, places and things, 

I'm no longer interested in. 

I found my cross, 

And my Bible, 

Where I left them, 

When I left for college. 

It's time 

To throw out the shoes, 

Get rid of the clothes, 

Toss out the old music things,

Pack up the pictures and posters,  

And read the Bible again.

It may be the only link left,

To being with you.
