This is the film version of the Pulitzer and Tony Award winning musical about Bohemians in the East Village of New York City struggling with life, love and AIDS, and the impacts they have on America.
Favorite song: [Snippit] Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes. Five hundred twenty-five thousand moments so dear. Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes. How do you measure, measure a year? In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee. In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife. In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes - how do you measure a year in the life? How about love? How about love? How about love? Measure in love... seasons of love.
Has to be my favorite DVD created this decade, and it's even better on stage! I saw it on stage this past summer and it was... beyond words! There's singing, dancing, a story line, questions answered, questoins given, and a life that we may never actually understand now, but we understand it when we embark on their adventure in the movie. Wonderfully put together, cast perfectly and always flowing. To those born in this era may not appreciate what they have now, but will appreciate it once watching this movie.
