Always Be " "

"Always be yourself. Unless if you can be ___________, then always be ____________"


Oy. I don't know about you but I'm annoyed by these already. Really, really annoyed. Let's start from the beginning. First off "Always be yourself."

You should always be yourself. Don't dress up and be someone else when you're on a date with someone. Daffy Duck just did that to impress his girlfriends father when really, all he needed to do was be himself because that is what her father wanted the most. Her father wanted someone who was confident and bold, and not afraid of a few adventures in one day. The idea of his daughter dating someone who was gung-ho about work and only work, he wanted someone who loved his daughter and was able to have some fun while doing it. Daffy learned this lesson the difficult way, and was much happier after. If you're going to be 'someone else' to impress someone, that person is NOT worth your time. Absolutely NOT worth your time. Be yourself. If that person cannot accept you for who you are, then they're not worth it in the very least.

Now, if being yourself means that you act on undesirable desires, then yes, please change your attitude, reasons for acting this way. If people are stating that you are not someone that they wish to spend time with because you act in such a way, then I plead that you change that one undesirable trait, or leave that trait at home. Someone will find that trait desirable, but not today. You'll find yourself with more friends this way.

Now who are you trying to be? Someone that is seen as being heroic I hope. Someone with some guts, glory and a reason to be good in this world. A little bit of good goes a long way in this crazy world. If you're going to put on a different costume than your own, put on one that does more good than bad please, we need a little more hope each day.
