This as a good movie when considering it had all the elements of a 'manly movie.' Have you seen those Dr. Pepper commericials when the guy says that certain things are for men and not for women? Well, this is for you boys! It starts off a little slow, when our girl right up front here 'Baby' is accused of a crime and sent to an asylum. The asylum turns out to be not as safe as it should be and 'Baby' finds herself taking dance classes (horrors!), cleaning floors and having to deal with the advancing chubby cook. She creates a world that she can escape to and is able to survive the first day. Four other girls join in on her quest to be free from the asylum and bring hell to anyone who tries to stop them.
What is a nice change from this movie to a few other is the emphasis on violence, danger and not so much as sexuality that plays into the scenes. The movie goes fast, and the only slow parts come when information needs to be given. I can't give you the ending, but you most definetly will not expect it. Also, Vanessa Hudgens in the movie, this is a far cry from her last famous role as a high school glee singer in High School Musical with her ex-boyfriend Zach Efron. Personally, I would pick this movie over that one any day.
