Pale Moon Night

It was a pale moon the night before
Where the kisses flew before the sunset
Cool breeze drifted through the air
Chilling all but the mind and the soul
The next day there was snow
Dreams let the day go by faster
The air was cool and crisp and expected
 Fueling a kindling romance
As the day progressed the heat diminished
And warm touches burns into the skin
The smell of a warm drink unfreezes the soul
Reminding one of a warmer day

Dawn approached and so do the dreams
Was embraced down the stairs by a warm meal
Outside the wind pushed passerbys into thier cars
Pushing one towards a better day

The sun crossed over the sky as lips do when kissed
Beings are seized loved and enveloped
Behind closed doors bodies are protected by the storm
Hidden away from the dark skies of a harrowing day

The news should have warned a person of the dangerous day
Of when lines are crossed and bodies pressed
Breath replaces the wind and the rain
Bless the ones who stop yearning for better days
