I can't write a poem because...

My roommate is watching TV
My Internet isn't working
My Cellphone keeps going off
The Lightbulbs keep flickering
The Air Conditioning keeps being faulty
and my Laptops battery is dying

I can't write a poem because...

I've got too much homework
There are too many Thank You letters to write
I've got too many papers to fill out
Too many Half Finished Essays to write
and I fear the Emails that are piling up

I can't write a poem because...

The Macaroni is still cooking
The Chicken salad needs to be made
The Dishes a piling up in the kitchen
I need to make Jello for dessert
and the girls are now asking for Cookies
